GESTURIST HISTORY AND ACTIVITY

On 14th June 1986 the Cesenatico City Council deliberated on the establishment of Gesturist Cesenatico S.p.A., with the intent to manage the town tourist resources.
The subscribed capital amounted to 20 million Lire, with an equity 60% hold by the Municipality and a 40% by the other partners.
From that time, Gesturist has been charged with many other tasks, such as the management of the public gardening, the tourist offices, the town camping site, and some other tourist facilities.
Its Board has been enlarged to a majority of town trade association’s representatives (6 over 11), giving Gesturist a strong public multi-task identity at service of citizens and tourists.
This is the reason way the stock sale has been very successful. Nowadays the company is going to prepare a new development strategy, in which many important projects have been planned, among which the drainage and redevelopment of the Mazzarini internal harbour and the fulfilment of a new spa centre.
